A Week of Sawdust and Splinters

Crafting with Alaskan-Milled Ash, Red Oak, and Hickory This week brought the rhythmic hum of saw blades and the sweet scent of freshly cut wood as we embarked on an exciting sawing journey. Our primary focus was a ash tree that was brought down by the forces of nature – tornado damage had left its mark. I was able transform the resilient giant into beautiful slabs using the precision of Alaskan milling.

Additionally, we had the pleasure of turning red oak and hickory, remnants of a homeowner’s cleared trees, into lumber for a unique touch of nature’s elegance in his home. Join us as we share the highlights of our sawing ventures.
